Yes, I know Easter has already come and gone. But personally, I could make and look at Easter eggs all year long. I always try to make at least a few each year. (Go to THIS POST for more on my past Easter eggs.)

I have used blown out real egg shells in the past, but lately I've resorted to fake craft eggs, which are more durable. My medium of choice is usually markers. Occasionally I will use paint, but markers are quick, easy, and not as messy. That's what I used this year. I have a set of brush markers that I love to use for all sorts of drawing, lettering, and crafts. They worked well on the craft eggs, and I like that they are easy to blend and shade with. The only thing you need to watch out for is to make sure you don't touch with wet hands, or you can smudge it (because these are water-based, like watercolor paints) but that's also what allows them to be super blendable.

I did three different designs during a drawing session on my Twitch channel. I didn't go with any sort of theme. It was pretty much just made up as I went! The first was floral pattern. It was probably my favorite of the three (no surprise!).
The second one was a purple mandala design. It's hard to see in the photo, but I used a metallic gold marker and gel pen to add shiny accents to it.
The third egg was a doodle design. I started by just making solid color stripes, then added different patterns within each stripe.
A few days later on St. Patrick's Day, I added a fourth egg to this year's group, just for fun. Green, of course.
My kids are always eager to join in the fun as well when it comes to arts and crafts. Because I'm a proud mama, I have to show off their eggs, too! I love this Easter egg family they made.
For some reason, the mommy egg is crying. LOL. I don't know what that's about. (I'm fine, BTW.)
